Big Birthday Celebration
jimjack@gravityfed.com
It has been a big weekend! We Went to the WALLHALLA Bar on Friday night to watch the oldest ski film ever made. It was filmed in Davos in 1924. It was a French silent film and there was a live piano to go with the plot.
Choices...many choices The Wallhalla could only hold about 60 of us and beers were two for one.
Saturday The Bolgenschanze was booked up solid for a live concert. That also meant since the rooms were booked weeks in advance that we had to make a small move to another hotel for the one night. That didn't matter. The people here at the Bolgenschanze made sure that we were comfortable.
We realized later that it didn't matter where we slept because Dan Withey was celebrating his 29th birthday and the bar was making shots every time we turned around. If you are ever here on your birthday, be sure to let the bartenders know. It gives them a reason to have a shot, too. Adam likes what he sees
The whole staff at the hotel have become our friends and we feel at home because of them. Oh yeah, Withey did get the drunkest. Our nailing was awful so we drank lots.
Today we had another day of sunshine and powder conditions. They are calling for snow for the next 4 days and right now we are already skiing boot top creamy good times in the trees and off piste.
We are taking many photos and feeling good. We are all glad to hear the Wasatch is getting pounded! Be careful out there and enjoy!
We will get back to you in a couple days. Yahoooooo!!!! Everyone and Happy Valentines Day.
Jim, Dan and Adam
