Euro Tour 2000 Travel Logs, France: February 20, 2000 Les Portes de Soleil drskis@gravityfed.com Greetings to all. Well today I hit up a huge area spanning the border between france and Switzerland. The area known in whole as the Portes de Soleil the meaning of which is Doors To The Sun. Today, however, they could easily have renamed the area Pas de Soliel, as the sun did not show itself once. Skiing today was one of those blind days where you rely more on feel than on sight. Thus I found myself upside down in the snow more than a couple times.
